I really like the colours here and the old fashioned looking stove.
I like old, unique, and sort of romantic furniture. Restored or recreated or saved from the side of the street. I post those which especially appeal to me as I find them, online.

Today I Found...
Just the right desk and chair for my home office. If I can get them! They are from different places. I am trying to get my brother to pick up the desk for me. I'm hoping the people with the chair will bring it to me, we are in the same local area. This time I'm not posting links.
If it works out I will have all three of them for less than $100 and I will be really happy!!!

Vintage Tanker Desk Lost
I had a desk like these. I got it free, by default. A roommate left it behind. I loved it. Not too big, very sturdy, historic. Mine was army green with a green linoleum covering on the top. It had curbed corners. Only one side with drawers. In the middle was a flat pull out drawer. On the drawer side were two drawers and one flat piece that pulled out. Under it there were not feet, but a narrow base on each side.
It got a little damaged from being moved. My brother threw it way, without asking. I was annoyed, mad really. But, like other things, it was gone.
I didn't know the name for the style of desk until I started looking for one the same. It has been gone for years. I think I didn't want to feel sad and angry about it so I didn't look too much for information about it. As I expected, it isn't cheap. I've found some used and in okay shape for $200 on the low end and over $1000 on the high end.
Here are some photos I found online. A compilation of these will give you an idea of what my tanker desk looked like.
I still miss that desk. I had to buy another desk for my computer. It is not vintage, or built to last as the tanker desk was. But, it is holding up well for a modern computer desk.
